Reporting directly to the business area COO, you will provide operational expertise to the business, solving complex business issues. The role will involve the following key activities:

• Working alongside the senior management team influencing the current and future business strategy
• Responsibility for the production of quarterly investor reporting for all funds under management.
• Management of the Fund Audit process with external Auditors.
• Involvement in the establishment of new funds
• Responsibility for the completion and submission of all Regulatory returns.
• Responsibility for the analysis and interpretation of all management information, including monthly management accounts.
• Implementing controls and document departmental procedures, performing accounting risk assessments.
• Liaising with tax advisors on tax planning, annual returns and accounting for all aspects of tax within the funds.
• Planning for and incorporating future accounting and regulatory changes.
• Providing recommendations for dividend declarations and ensuring the funds maintain distributor status, where appropriate. Investigating and resolving complex historical accounting issues.
• Recruiting, developing and leading a team.

As the ideal candidate you will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience gained ideally within an Alternative Asset environment. You will have the capability to build a scalable fund accounting infrastructure and ensure best practice procedures are developed. You will have excellent presentation skills and a sound commercial awareness to make effective and discretionary management decisions.
