Our client is a leading commercial bank based in Kuwait. They now require an experienced manager (SGM level) to manage and coordinate the activities of the Operations Group, General Services, Financial Accounting & Control, and Centralized Banking Operations Divisions set by the CEO.
This role requires developing and maintaining a group strategies plane that outlines operational activities requested to support the business line strategies, as well as guiding and directing members of group management in the team. The role also involves directing all operational activities to achieve the budget, performance and effectiveness of the operational group. The manager will direct the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon the corporate goals and growth objectives and recommends their adoption. It is key to develop and maintain a plan of operations, establish policies to ensure adequate management and succession. The manager will also direct the development and installation of operational procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the Group. It is also key to ensure sound services and working relationships with key staff of important customers and vendors, with outside services such as consultants, legal counsel, auditing firms, vendors and governmental bodies. Knowledge, Skills and Experience
University Graduate or equivalent professional qualifications.
Minimum 12-15 years banking experience including management positions with executive managerial experience in I.T. and operation fields.
Strong technical and operational knowledge.
Good knowledge of bank policies and procedures and related legal framework.
Good knowledge of the functions of bank departments.
Working knowledge of Balanced Scorecard.
Good understanding a polices off the operational Risk
