To provide high level support to the Traders and Marketers for Interest Rates and to liaise/work with all areas within Operations and Finance.
Purpose;
To maintain the teams strong reputation with both Internal and External Clients. To keep Operational risk to a minimum by ensuring that appropriate procedures are in place and adhered to.
Key Responsibilities;
To manage the Middle Office Team for Interest Rates, ensuring smooth running at all times, overseeing training and career development
Focus on improvements and automation of processes to minimise operational risk
To identify and develop workflows and reconciliations (specs) for new products when needed
Providing a strong knowledge around all Interest Rate products covering Cash and OTC Products: Bonds, Swaps, Futures, Options, Repos, structured products, Hybrids
To assist the Rates Traders and Marketers as and when required
To investigate and resolve escalated Middle Office issues
To investigate and resolve reconciled Breaks
To monitor Traders’ portfolios for forthcoming expiries, notify Traders and exercise, assign and abandon as instructed
Supervise and support the creation of the F/O PL Flash and Management Report
To arrange new accounts, books and counterparties as required
To constantly liaise and develop relationships with Traders, Marketers, Financial Controllers, Audit, Compliance, GBS, Business Managers and IT personnel
Required Skills and Experience;
5 years Experience in Fixed Income / Interest Rate Front Office, Middle Office or similar.
