The California Public Employees' Retirement System, Global Fixed Income Research Unit is seeking to hire an Investment Officer II.

The Investment Officer II works within the $60B Global Fixed Income Group. The analyst will perform fundamental industry and company analysis supporting $15B of Investment Grade and High Yield investments.
Candidates should have the ability to independently analyze, evaluate, and recommend new high yield and/or convertible corporate bond investments in assigned sectors, and monitor the existing fixed income portfolio. Duties include:

  • Fundamental credit research analysis of both cash flow and asset coverage, as well as comparative assessment of market value within sectors
  • Identification of trends and changes in competitive positions within industries
  • Development of analysis models
  • Performance of sensitivity analyses to assess pro forma and projected financial performance
  • Relative value corporate bond recommendations.
