To Lead the Risk Pricing Team

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Risk Pricing Analysts to define & document appropriate assumptions for pricing risks for existing & new products, clients and markets.
  • Drive the review & approval of risk pricing assumptions during the pricing process, at the European, International and Global leadership levels (as appropriate).
  • Review & update existing pricing assumptions & documentation in a proactive and timely fashion.
  • Incorporate learnings in both a quantitative and qualititative manner, from multiple internal and external sources across markets, to enhance our capability to effectively price risks.
  • Monitor trends in the macroeconomic and mortgage market environments across Europe, identifying risks and opportunities within the existing pricing assumptions and MI product suite.
  • In conjunction with the European Risk Director, identify and prioritise enhancements to the risk pricing methodologies. Manage the approval & subsequent implementation of changes.
  • Work closely with the Solutions Delivery Pricing Leader to ensure consistency and appropriateness of all components of the pricing model, including methodology and assumptions.
Preferred skills / qualifications
  • Technical background, preferably including Statistics and/or Economics/Economterics.
  • Extensive management experience with proven Leadership & mentoring skills.
  • Highly analytical and objective – demonstrates a clear understanding of multi-functional areas. Finance or Capital Markets experience would be beneficial.
  • Proven execution of both short and long-term projects within specified timeframes.
  • Effective communicator, with excellent presentational skills to both internal functions and external customers.
  • Articulate, responsive team player.
  • Clear & focused thinking, quick learner, flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Mortgage market, credit risk &/or insurance market knowledge.
