Description:

Reporting to the AP Head of Corporate Administrative Services, the Regional Travel Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost effective delivery of travel services to a demanding client base within UBS AG.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Working with business heads to discern service needs, provide advice and support on travel consumption and costs, and formulate saving initiatives
• Establishing robust Business Continuity Plans to ensure effective disaster recovery and tracking of employees travelling on business
• Building rewarding relationships with key suppliers (airlines, hotels, travel agencies, ground transport and corporate card providers)
• Developing and implementing regional travel policies to manage consumer demand, and strategies to manage vendor performance and drive continuous improvement in service levels
• Instigating change management, process re-engineering and cost control initiatives as part of the global strategy
• Leading, managing and motivating in-house and outsourced employees to provide UBS with a best-in-class travel service

Requirements:

Our ideal candidates should have the following requisites:

• A university degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• A proven track record in vendor negotiations
• The ability to co-ordinate resources, prioritize effectively and drive initiatives
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship skills
• The maturity and credibility required to gain respect from colleagues at all levels
• The potential to succeed in this role and to progress within the organization
