Business Analyst (Various Roles) £300.00 - £350.00 Per Day City Of London

This renowned international investment bank with culture centered on transparency, respect and providing a first class client service is looking for an experienced and analytical Business Analyst with a strong background in operations.

Within these roles you will be primarily responsible for the delivery of the firms Securities Operations 2008 off shoring program. This program is looking to migrate a total of 9 Cash Equity functions/processes from London to Bangalore in a controlled manner by the end of 2008.

You will work closely with the functions being transferred offshore and tasks will include:

•Development of staff training plans and monitoring progress against plan through the life of the project •Development of checks and measures to ensure required training standards are being reached. •Development of key operating procedures using MS Visio to create workflow diagrams and MS Word for more detailed procedures •Assisting with the training of staff from Bangalore •Creation of other template based documentation required to support the off shoring as dictated by the Transition team. This will include gathering technology requirements and drafting of SIPOCs. •Creation of Key Performance Indicators and controls around and sample measurement of this specified data prior to the go live of the function.

Function Specific:

Below are the functions that the firm are looking to offshore this year with a brief description of what is involved. Experience of the below would bring significant benefit to the program.

Instruction Management/Depot Realignments and Cross Border: Experience of cash equity manual instructions. Pair-offs, Reinstructing, Partials, Payments, Depot realignments as well as cross border settlement.

Emerging Markets: Experience of market settlement and break resolution across some or all of the following emerging markets: Poland, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Israel, Bulgaria, Romania, Mexico, Qatar, Hungary Czech, Dubai, Iran, Jordan, Oman, Brazil, Croatia, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Morocco, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Iceland, Estonia, Ghana, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania.

US International: Experience of settlements across the Far east, Emerging Markets as well as instruction processing and payments.

Far East: Market settlement and break resolution for: Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Australia, NZ, Philippines

Securitized Product and ETF (Exchange traded Funds) Settlement: Euro clear and Clear stream settlement for Primary Issuance and Secondary trading of firm securitized products as well as ETF creation and settlement.

New Business Management: Processing of payments associated with firm issued products (Notes, Warrants, etc.) to clearing agents (Euro clear and Clear stream). Resolution of any issues arising as a result of these payments or product expiries.

Mutual Funds: Settlement of the firms mutual fund related business primarily via Citco

Payments: Possessing in the region of 130 payments per day supporting Asset Services, Prime Finance and Cash Equity. Also supporting settlement and payment for the Synthetic Equity (Swap) business.

You must have strong business analysis skill coupled with a logical thought process. To apply you will need to have in-depth and proven experience in a business analysis role in at least one of the above area. Ideally you will have strong operations banking experience.
