Leading US investment bank is seeking an AVP – Financial Planning Analyst to join their Global Expense Control & Analysis Division. Supporting the fixed income trading area this position offers a strong opportunity to gain exposure to the business. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will form a key part of this specialist team, which is responsible for ensuring the Firm’s capital investments are optimized.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
•Produce Regional, Country and Divisional NPE reporting and analysis
•Ensure the Firm’s capital investments are optimized
•Provide commercial guidance, support and advice to Divisional, Country and Department budget holders and management
•Assist with the development, enhancement and implementation of improvements to the Regions expense management policies and procedures.
•Establish strong working relationships with functional Expense Line Owners, Divisional CFOs and GSSM representatives
•Produce NPE reporting, variance analysis, KPI’s, Cost Analysis etc.
•Participate in global projects that require an expense management perspective
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience:
•5 years plus of financial cost management/commercial analyst experience with knowledge of cost reduction, expense management, commercial analysis or management reporting
•Strong accounting background
•Strong PC knowledge, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
•Knowledge and application of ESSbase, Cognos and/or other management reporting tools
•Strong communication and inter-personal skills
•Outstanding business acumen, analytical skills and attention to detail
•Business acumen with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
