The role will encompass researching companies in the mining / natural resource sectors. Once qualified and suitably experienced will talk to potential investors with a view to securing investment

Description & Key Responsibilities

• To produce accurate, timely and well thought through research notes for: • Our corporate clients • Internal project assessments • Monthly corporate research • Stand alone research notes • Pre-IPO notes • Liaising between sales and HB-Corporate • The establishment of a reputation for knowledge in your particular research sector • To be an ambassador for the Company with other market counter-parties and participants • The ability to identify and win new corporate clients • The ability to participate in the evaluation of new business opportunities

Key Regulatory Responsibilities

Understanding of the Regulatory Responsibilities within your Control Function and the General Principles of Approved Persons (as displayed on the Company Homepage)

Competencies to be able to do the job

• Technical knowledge of the sector • Knowledge of the sector investor base • Knowledge of accounting standards, financial analysis and valuation techniques • Knowledge of excel, powerpoint and word • Ability to sell ideas • Ability to work well under pressure and to react sensitively to problematical situations • FSA Approved • SI Securities Certificate • Control Function Investment Adviser (CF 21)
