A great opportunity at DKIB to become part of the Transaction Execution Group as a Lawyer.
Purpose:
Provision of legal advice and support to various parts of the Dresdner Kleinwort business including Equity Derivatives, FICC, Equity Structuring and Alternative Investments. These areas incorporate:
Structured financing transactions and secured loans
Equity (TRS, CFD)/hybrid trade confirmation negotiation and templates drafting
Agency and Stock lending
Prime brokerage and hedge funds
OTC and FX Give Up documentation
FX currency and commodities
Key Responsibilities;
Dealing with/advising on equity and CFD documentation including OTC Give Ups, Confirmations and Master Confirmations
Equity Confirmation templates
Principal contact for Dresdner in respect of ISDA which involves participation in and monitoring of ISDA workshops and initiatives relating to these
To the extent necessary appoint and liaise with external lawyers
At all times:
Deliver effective support for transaction execution and all related agreements and documentation for Dresdner businesses and related support projects
Ensure that all transactions and related agreements and documentation handled by the Transaction Execution Group (TEG) complies with applicable laws and that any necessary legal advice is obtained either from within TEG, or from Legal Services or from outside law firms, as the case may be.
Exercise quality and cost control over transaction execution and all related agreements and documentation for transactions handled by TEG and/or external lawyers.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience with structured Equity Swaps, TRS’, CFDs primarily and the negotiation of and market approach to documentation relating to these types of transactions
Structured transaction experience
Drafting capabilities
Proactive and able to take the initiative
Investment bank and private practise background
Good to have experience in the following areas but not required:
