Bloomberg is looking for a motivated individual to join the Vat / Compliance Team. This team is responsible for submission of Vat / Intrastat Returns for countries within the EMEA Region (Europe, Middle East & Africa).
At present Bloomberg is registered in 23 countries for Vat. In this highly charged roll, the individual will be responsible for preparing Vat Returns, 8th Directive claims, forecasting cash flows, analyzing variances, import / export and other accounting duties. Working with several different currencies, the successful candidate will be able to provide accurate and detailed information to support the returns. This role will involve frequent communication with internal departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receiveable, Supply Chain, the media billing teams and the New York Head Office. There will also be frequent communication with our external Tax advisors and Bookkeepers and our customers.
The Requirements:
• Good accounting skills (for example experience of producing trial balances and VAT Returns and dealing with queries from clients) • Analytical and Numerical skills • Good computer skills, including intermediate MS Excel / Word • Ability to multi-task and adhere to tight dead lines • Great attention to detail • Excellent communication skills and a team player
