Moody's Credit Quotes (MCQ) is a Financial Technology division of Moody's Analytics with headquarters in New York City and offices in London and Brisbane (Australia). Currently focusing on price-discovery and market data products for the fixed income market, MCQ has been growing at an extremely rapid pace and is expanding its global team. The Role MCQ is looking for a Financial Data Engineer with experience in Fixed Income markets, for support of UK/European clients. The candidate has to achieve the goals for this position, your personal traits must be: presentable, polite, patient, self-motivated and methodical. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for ensuring data quality * Reviewing data capturing * Building and maintaining spreadsheets containing analytics * Communicate with our clients (Investment Banks, Hedge Funds) via email, telephone and on-site visits (primarily London) * Ensure our clients use our products effectively to satisfy their data needs Qualifications * Bachelor's degree, preferably in Financial Technology, Computer Science or Engineering * Master's degree, preferably in Financial engineering Languages * Fluent in English * Fluent in a second European language would be advantageous Experience * Basic fixed income experience in a financial technology role * Experience in a data analysis and/or research role in the financial industry * Trading desk and trading support experience * Knowledge of CDS, Bonds, Convertibles, Interest Rates * Knowledge of SQL Key Skills - Technical * Well developed IT skills including advanced Word, impeccable Excel skills and PowerPoint Key Skills - Non-technical * Excellent attention to detail Good written and verbal communication * Excellent organisational skills * Good interpersonal skills and the * Ability to build strong professional relationships - at all levels Proven experience in client management * Pro-active attitude with the ability to multi-task * Ability to work to tight deadlines * Ability to work independently * Ability to take control and self-govern ongoing self-development
