Overview

Listed Derivatives Operations provide clearing and settlement services for exchange traded future and options servicing both clients and in-house traders. LDO IT supports the core applications of GMI and Clearvision as well as in-house developed applications.

GMI is a Sungard product utilised in CS for the settlement of Futures and Options products. Clearvision is a GL Trade product utilised in CS for the Clearing and Matching of Futures and Options products. Other vendor and in-house products also form a portfolio of applications the required support and development from the wider Listed Derivatives IT team (LDO IT).

The key aim is to build an extension to the existing global LDO IT teams already based in in London, Singapore and New York. Requirement is to build GMI application knowledge and BA depth. This knowledge is vital to perform analysis and support work both for the Asia Pacific book of work and for deployed work that is done for London clients.

Responsibilities

To support the current Listed Derivatives Operations live applications primarily key vendor package GMI.

Job role requires:

  • Liaise with Operations users required for confirmation and specification of requirements definition. Member of Listed Derivative Operations IT team based in Singapore
  • Specification and definition of changes to usage of GMI environment or development of related functionality
  • Manage the implementation and testing of defined changes
  • Analyze the impact of GMI Client Service Bulletins or annual release upgrade including regression and functionality testing
  • Willing to provide support for early, late and on-call issues
  • Working with the Listed Derivatives Users for all support calls
  • Manage project effort for changes to production systems
  • Support Releases to Production
  • Assist development with environment and test configurations at all stages of implementation
  • System test preparation, initialisation execution and evaluation
  • Support end-to-end testing.
  • Technical documentation (design and test)
  • Possible Application development on the AS/400 (dependant on skill set)
  • Project responsibilities include:

    The candidate will be involved in all aspects of a project, including liaising with internal clients, business analysis, system analysis and design, configuration, testing, implementation and post-implementation support.

  • Working with Business Users, Project Managers and team leaders to develop solutions to various different business groups, which utilise the system.
  • Follow a structured project lifecycle and maintain documentation through that cycle.
  • Deliver Regular Status reporting
  • Writing structured specifications
  • Manage the migration of code to production and general implementation of projects.
  • Requirements

    Excellent communication skills are essential for both business and IT liaison and team interaction. In addition, candidate should posses the following:

  • Minimum 5 years Financial institution/ investment banking experience
  • Experience of support and development on a large application, serving a significant user base.
  • Either IT or Operations GMI specialist business analyst experience (5+ years experience)
  • Thorough understanding of Futures and Options processing
  • Good understanding of Commissions and Fees modules of GMI
  • Exposure to Clearvision trade matching application
  • Technical domain knowledge (should have these skills to a minimum of 3 years experience):
  • AS400 Operating System
  • RPG 4 / ILE
  • SQL
  • Structured programming experience
  • Skills
