The roles are similar except that someone appointed at Associate Director level would be expected to work with a greater degree of autonomy than a Manager. Whilst the attributes relate specifically to the current requirements they will also be appropriate for more longer term career development relating to deal sourcing, marketing, leading transaction execution, fund management client monitoring and reporting.

The Roles

To join the existing Leveraged Loan team with a specific remit to analyse and execute new leveraged loan transactions, monitor this growing portfolio and support the team’s marketing strategy to arrangers and brokers. Specifically:

• As part of a small team on each transaction, evaluate investment opportunities through a bottom up credit analysis, noting relative value within capital structures, against equivalent rated public bonds, or similar credits.

• Make verbal and written presentation of proposed investments to Leveraged Loan meetings and undertake/support presentations to the Investment Committee and other credit-based meetings.

• Monitoring the portfolio, both formally (semi-annual reviews, covenant compliance etc.) and informally (e.g. being aware of any progress or developments which may lead to changes in credit quality).

• Where appropriate assist in marketing the Leveraged Loan team strategy to arrangers, investors and brokers.

• Keep abreast of the Leveraged Loan marketplace for developments and news.

You must have credit experience within a well known leveraged finance environment.
