Our client, an international well established telecommunication company, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant for their local Luxembourg operations.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Accountant, you report directly to the Group Financial Controller and provide the financial reporting for Luxembourg entities. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare monthly closings and financial statements according to Lux GAAP.
Provide reliable actual figures and ensure compliance with IFRS GAAP for reporting.
Financial controlling incl. reconciliations/specifications of all balance sheet accounts and selected P/L accounts.
Prepare material for yearly tax calculation and return.
Liaising with local auditors and authorities.
Maintain and further develop working routines, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency of accounting bookings and payments.
THE PROFILE
Accounting or Finance degree.
3-4 years experience as an accountant and financial controller.
Excellent IFRS knowledge.
Strong Excel knowledge (complex functions as sum-if, look-up, pivot, etc).
Strong analytical skills.
Fluent in English, any other European language would be an asset.
You are flexible, organized, and able to improve processes.
Extrovert and easy talking, you can easily adapt yourself to different culture.
