Senior level position within the process re-engineering team of a top tier investment bank
Responsibilities:

  • Leadership position overseeing multiple large scale projects within the Finance Group
  • On going monitoring and maintenance of existing General Ledger system(s)
  • Liaison with all other groups within Finance on critical system enhancements / migrations
  • Manage the relationship with IT on all system implementations, system modifications for new products, and straight thru processing initiatives
  • Co-ordinate with counterparts in other global locations

Requirements:

  • 8 - 10 years accounting experience within financial institutions. CPA / CA preferred.
  • Strong experience in Chart of Account and General Ledger maintenance.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience leading projects within a finance function
  • Project Management (Six Sigma) designation preferred
  • Strong Product knowledge in Derivatives
  • Strong writing and communication skills
