The D. E. Shaw group seeks an intelligent, motivated, and reliable person to join its Systems department. Primary responsibilities include installing and supporting hardware in our data centers, cabling tasks, and maintaining accurate inventories for the firm’s data centers. Technicians will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and state-of-the-art equipment. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, solid PC and server hardware knowledge, and a strong desire to learn. Experience in data center operations, basic telecom, and networking is a definite plus.
