• Play an active role in the evaluation and analysis of proposals for acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and strategic alliances.

• Transaction Management - the management, negotiation and execution of corporate acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures from start to finish, including the negotiation of price and structure to optimise the financial aspects of transactions and negotiation of legal documentation in conjunction with in-house and third party legal advisers.

• Produce valuations using various valuation techniques, assumptions and sensitivities.

• The preparation of strategic reviews, participating actively in making recommendations to divest, hold or acquire businesses.

• Develop and maintain close links with the Group businesses and with external advisers.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in one of the following areas:

- The Financial Institutions M&A team of a top tier bank; - The Corporate Development team of another bank; - Another FIG transactional analytical role, such as private equity or leveraged finance.

Prior corporate finance experience is preferred, but not a prerequisite.
