Role: Senior Software Developer, Core Technology Group, Global Fixed Income Products The purpose of this role is to lead, using a moderated open source approach, the strategic internal development and management of frameworks and components which are directly driven by the needs of business aligned technology initiatives.
Core Competencies / Skills Technical
• Expert level experience with object oriented languages and design patterns (Java, C#, C++)
• Strong focus on code quality, documentation and testing
• Extensive experience developing, maintaining, and deploying enterprise quality frameworks and tools
• Strong experience with ‘Agile’ style development methods
• Expert with both front-end GUI and back-end development
• Expert knowledge of vendor development products and open source initiatives and tools. Primary Objectives
• Develop high quality technology frameworks and components to facilitate faster time-to-market for business aligned technology initiatives.
• Reduce the overall cost of internal application development by enabling the re-use of high quality frameworks and components.
• Facilitate technical knowledge transfer between FIPT teams
• Contribute best practices that can be applied to other application development teams to make them more productive and efficient.
• Assist in the technical evaluation and analysis of new business initiatives and proposals.
