Major Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate completion of assigned tax provisions and tax returns.
This includes the preparation of state and federal extensions as required by the various agencies (i.e. IRS, NYS, MD etc).
Ensure that all work submitted is properly supported, explained and documented in accordance with departmental procedures.
Undertake tax research and special projects as assigned.
Make independent efforts to increase overall tax knowledge.
Participate in staff meetings and suggest ways to increase efficiency or add value to the current process.
Assist in documentation of current and new tax policies and procedures.
Promptly respond to all client inquiries.
Consistently and thoroughly follow established departmental policies and procedures and seek clarification as needed.
Communicate all unresolved issues or concerns to your manager and/or Senior manager.

Qualifications
Education:BS in Accountancy or Finance is required

Good interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt quickly to changeWork well in a team setting
