Responsible for development of requirements for specific product(s)/ product line(s), including strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Monitors the development of business plans, and product positioning. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Leads product definition and business plans.
In this role you will be responsible for: • Management of Product Development and QA teams: o Identification of strategic product developments o Documentation of Business Requirements and Functional Requirements through liaison with the wider business obtaining sign off from key business and operational stakeholders o Working with the Development team to ensure understanding of requirements documentation o Parallel testing of developments and feedback of results through regular cross departmental meetings o User Acceptance Testing of new developments and sign off for Production release o Managing the Production release process from the business side, sign off that roll to Production is successful o Responding to system issues raised by Customers/Operations/the Business • Day to day management of key third party relationships, including Market Makers, Retail Service Providers, software vendors, data vendors and distributors • Working with the Development and Technology teams to maintain and develop key systems, including Customer Databases, Order Management Systems, Cash Management systems and websites • Working closely with the Marketing team to establish successful Marketing campaigns • Maintain an effective, 24 hour escalation procedure to rapidly escalate and resolve critical system outages • Responsible for monitoring of the UK Equities website Content budget • Responsible for a team of 3 Business Analysts and 1 local Quality Assurance Analyst. Offshore QA resource is also utilised. • Working with the Compliance team to ensure that systems and processes are Compliant • Careful management of team to ensure high levels of motivation and engagement, sometimes working long and unsociable hours. • Management of system upgrades. responsibility for testing and sign off of updates and developments
